After I graduated from DePaul, I began working as a Native Tools and Engine Programmer at GameSalad in Austin, TX. There I worked on fixing bugs and adding new features to the GameSalad game engine on Mac and iOS, as well as creating the interface for users to implement those features in the GameSalad Editor for Mac. We had the fun challenge of trying to create a development environment with the power to create unique, interesting games, but easy enough for anyone to hop in and begin making games. There, I quickly learned to navigate an in-development code base in Objective-C, C++, and Lua, as well as learning to work in Interface Builder and XCode. I also got my first experience in agile development, as well as working with people across the country.
